One of the largest single-site users of the MIDAS ViewPoint system is the International Airport of Turin, Italy, with 232 ePC Media systems and 42" TFT screens installed, and some 500 ViewPoint licenses installed on staff PCs throughout the airport and related facilities. In the case of Turin Airport, ViewPoint allows easy control of their large network of public information screens, providing flight details in a number of languages, and also several other TV channels, such as advertising and tourism. For the airport staff, ViewPoint on workstation PCs is used to generate pop-up information screens for any one of numerous airport tasks, from passenger details, baggage handling and loading, to aircraft fueling and even passenger meal requirements.
